Easter at the Arboretum

So, after our exciting morning, we went to mass at 11:30, and then had lunch at The Waffle Shop (which was surprisingly dead). After lunch, Dan and I decided to take the kids over to the Penn State Arboretum to run around before nap time. We had a great time, and got some awesome pictures. Spring is definitely starting to take over here in State College, and boy are we glad!!
Ellie dancing in front of some red bushes.
Jack walking with Daddy.
Ellie and Jack stopped to smell some flowers.
Jack really thought they were beautiful!
Ellie found the fountain and literally JUMPED for joy! She is so excited for summer, and can't wait for swimming!
More jumping. It was so cute!
Running back to Momma.
A picture of Dan with his kids in front of the fountain.
Jack-Jack and Momma.
More dancing. This time by the fountain.
Momma and her kids. This is the best we could get...
Ellie and Daddy played chase down some of the rows!
Jack found this orange chair, and loved playing in the water that had accumulated on the armrest.
Big smiles! Full of delight!
Daddy and Jackie watching Ellie do something crazy (imagine that!?).
Ellie looking at some of the flowers. She really liked these. They were white and red on the outside, but yellow in the middle.
Getting to be time for naps...
Ellie didn't want to leave, so she held a sit in way out in the field. Eventually, after a LARGE tantrum, she caved, and we went home.

It really was a great day. I couldn't have asked for more (except to be with some of our family, but that's out of our control). We had a lovely dinner (prepared by Dan, of course) of ham, corn pudding, green bean casserole, mashed potatoes and hot rolls. It was delicious!! I sincerely hope that all of you had a lovely Easter and a wonderful day with your families and friends.
