Smoky Mountain Vacation: Day 2 (Fishing and Downtown Gatlinburg)

On Sunday, Father's Day, the men went out for a morning of guided fly fishing and the women and children stayed at home to play and relax. It was a nice morning without the boys, and I think they had a great time fishing. I have no pictures of the fishing antics, but here is a little of what we did while they were away:
Momo and Jack-Jack relaxed on the couch.
Kara and Kade put together one of Kade's new puzzles (Kade is a puzzle fanatic!).
Lily, Kade and Ellie played with "Moon Dough". It was fun, but a big mess!
Tia Tess rested with Bella (she's 16 weeks pregnant, you know!).
Jack was a little clingy, so he stuck close to mom most of the time, but he managed to squeeze in a little magnet board drawing.

After the men got home from fishing we all decided to go into downtown Gatlinburg to see the sights.
We watched taffy getting stretched and wrapped.
Clearly this was intriguing to everyone, not just the kids.

We also found a cute courtyard with a fountain and took the opportunity to rest our legs a little bit.
Jack playing by the fountain.
Kadence and Ellie dipped their feet in the cool water and generally enjoyed being silly together.

Jack gave Momo a smooch.
Ellie found an old phone booth and HAD to make a call.
Dan wrangled Jack and tried to keep him out of all the little shops surrounding the fountain.
We also saw this blue grass band playing on the sidewalk. They we good, and the kids loved dancing to the music.
After dancing, Ellie got a bump-bump from Pops.
Kade got a bump-bump from Uncle Dan.

It was a really fun day of vacation, but there were many more to come...
