A few random acts of silliness from the past week...

Jack found a picture of Ellie that school sent home for us and carried it around with him pretty much all day on his "Jack and Momma" day. I honestly think that as much as they like the 1:1 time they also miss each other on those days when they are home alone with me.

Another shot - you can see the picture in this one. At times he would hug the picture and kiss it. It was very cute.

Playing on the deck.

Carrying a box bigger than he is around. #1 - he is SO strong for such a little boy. #2 - Dan loved that it was a beer box, and hoped that it was a sign of Jack's good taste.
Over the weekend Ellie learned to do a backward somersault, with a little scaffolding support from our legs. Here are a few pictures.

First she lays on her back on top of one of us and puts her head on the floor.

Then she flings her legs over her head.

On Saturday, as a RARE treat I let Jack and Ellie split 1 Dove Dark Chocolate square. Have you seen hose things? They are like 3/4 an inch x 3/4 an inch squares, and they each got half. So you think, not too big a mess can come from this, right?

Wrong.

He looked like he had chocolate clown make-up on. It was such a mess.
On Sunday we went to the pool for the first time this summer. It was a great day, 80s with no clouds to be seen. We had a great time and I didn't take any pictures, except this one of Ellie relaxing as we were packing up to go home.

Such a sweet, sweet girl. It was a fun afternoon.
