August Wrap-up

I really can't believe that the summer is over. We really did have a good one. Here are some pictures of some of the things we did during August.

At the end of July we went to Louisville to visit with my sister, Tessa, William and Baby Dean. While we were there they gave Jack-Jack these awesome set of trucks and cars that can be mixed and matched. He loves playing with them, especially the end loader - he is VERY into construction vehicles right now.

Ells Bells is getting really excited to start the 4-year-old preschool program at Our Lady of Victory. One of her favorite things to do is to pretend she is a teacher and read us all stories.
My funny, gorgeous girl reading to us about an elephant who loses his trunk.

Another favorite summer time activity was playing soccer in the backyard. Both kids got their own soccer balls and really liked chasing them around.

Ellie is really starting to gain some really sophisticated soccer skills (for a 3-year-old). She is involved with the program "Soccer Shots" at school and has learned some good dribbling and passing skills.
Happy, happy girl!!

Also during August my mom, Momo came to visit us. We had a great time with her here.

Happy boy!
Kisses from Divot (my mom's dog).

We also really got into blowing bubbles this summer.

Ellie dancing and blowing bubbles.
Daddy got out the electronic bubble blower and the kids had a great time chasing the BIG bubbles around the yard.
More big bubbles.
Bubble wands!

Ellie and Jack also put on a show for Momo in the play room.

Other favorite August activities: going to the pool, watching State College Spikes baseball, going to Raystown lake and watching movies outside in the backyard.

School really wore this girl out!
Jack in the blue star sunglasses Momo gave him for the 4th of July. He has worn them almost everyday since he got them. Funny boy.
