Picking out our first REAL Christmas tree

The weekend after Thanksgiving we decided to go get a Christmas tree. Since we are staying in State College this year for Christmas, we decided to get a real tree instead of putting up the artificial tree we have used other years. It would have been a super fun day had it not been so cold! We went to a local farm near our house, JB Farm, and picked out a tree. We also picked out a wreath for our front door. It was really fun. We had to wait a few minutes for our tree to get trimmed up and bound so we could take it home. While we were waiting Ellie and Jack said hello to some of the farm animals. Eventually it got too cold and we waited in the car for Dan and the tree. We think we picked a pretty good one - don't you?

Jack on the drive to the farm. Looking for the animals.
Ellie on the drive to the farm.
Ellie and Jack. Thrilled to get their Christmas tree!
Petting one of the animals.
Cute donkey!
Jack in the car waiting for Dan to get the tree.
Ellie waiting for Daddy. Finally getting warmer with the heater on!
Dan waiting for the tree (Blue fleece, gray skull cap).
Letter Ellie wrote to our Elves (Calissa and Zak) asking them why they look the same.
We got the tree in the tree stand (it used to be my grandparents).
Finally got it unbound. It looks pretty good!
All decorated!
