Halloween 2011

Halloween was really fun this year. Ellie and Jack were both really excited to wear their costumes and both actually helped me to pick them out. I was a little worried about trick-or-treating because we had a pretty big snow storm in State College the Saturday before Halloween, but it ended up being a pretty decent night overall. Jack's costume kept him super warm and Ellie was warmish with 4 layers under her costume (she refused to wear a jacket or sweatshirt on top of her costume). We stayed out for about an hour and a half and that was plenty long enough to collect a ton of candy!

Spooky sunset!

On the Tuesday before Halloween Ellie's preschool class had a Halloween parade. Here is a picture of the kids in her class in their costumes.

Our very own Jessie the Cowgirl!

Jack the happy dinosaur (aka Rex).
All bundled up to go out trick-or-treating!
Jessie and Rex - we're ready to go!
Totally unplanned neighborhood theme!! None of the three moms planned this, and we were all shocked to discover we had almost the entire Toy Story cast on our block! (Ellie as Jessie. Nathan as Buzz Lightyear. Brady as Woody.)
Common Mom and Dad! We're ready to go! (See the leftover snow? We were lucky that it got into the 50s on Sunday and Monday and most of it melted away!).
